George II padouk mirror door bureau bookcase
A rare George II two mirror door padouk bureau bookcase. Typical English construction, retaining the original handles and metalwork with four lever locks. Ebony and bone ornate chequer marquetry throughout. The secretaire with fitted interior comprising pigeon holes and drawers with thin oak lining and fine dovetail joins. The fall incorporating the wood’s natural rays in its symmetrical design and has a wonderful patina.
